Overview
Kevin brings specialized knowledge in computer development and design, communication systems, and processor design to his patent prosecution work with L&A’s Computer Technology & Software, Electronics, and Mechanical & Industrial practice groups. His prior experience includes work on a Mitre-funded project to develop ultra-lightweight systems for small helium blimps, including the development of an automated buoyancy system that incorporated both sensors and ballast elements. Kevin is also a member of L&A’s Litigation team. He handles patent, trademark, and trade secret matters, including drafting motions and preparing for hearings and trial.
Prior to joining L&A, Kevin was an associate at a Virginia law firm, where his practice included handling civil litigation on a variety of matters for mid-sized regional businesses. He has represented clients in Virginia and DC courts, and before Federal agencies. Kevin has a wide range of experience which includes motion practice, discovery, administrative trials, and all other parts of the litigation process. Some of his past matters include assisting clients perform due diligence to comply with Federal Regulations; taking depositions in insurance coverage disputes; and assisting foreign airlines with jurisdictional disputes in US courts.
Kevin has received numerous academic awards. He was a Thurgood Marshall Scholar at George Washington University School of Law, where he also served as a member of GW’s International Law Review.
