L&A is excited to move into 2023 under steady and forward-thinking leadership.
Boston, MA – Lando & Anastasi, LLP (L&A) recently announced the re-election of Peter C. Lando for a two-year term on the firm’s Management Committee. Peter will join Thomas M. Sullivan and Robert A. Skrivanek, who remain on the committee for the coming year.
“We are pleased to move into 2023 under the steady leadership of this Management Committee. The firm benefits greatly from the continuity of their synergy and their openness to receive fresh ideas from all corners of the firm,” commented Nicole A. Palmer, the firm’s Hiring Partner.
Comprised of three Co-Managing Partners who are elected to two-year terms, the Management Committee (MC) structure at L&A differs from that of most law firms and mirrors our approach to client service. We adhere to a clear set of principles: placing clients’ business goals at the forefront; focusing on technologies that drive innovation and growth; and collaborating across practices to produce creative approaches to complex IP issues.
Peter Lando has been a member of L&A’s Management Committee for many terms since the firm’s founding in 2003. Peter has a robust practice which involves all areas of intellectual property law and related transactions. He is a past President of the Boston Patent Law Association and serves as co-chair of the Dean’s Advisory Council of the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law. Peter is also co-chair of the Boston Chapter of the Licensing Executive Society and has served on several academic and non-profit boards.
Tom Sullivan was newly elected to the MC in 2022 and had previously served the firm in this capacity for many years. He also is a member of the firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, which is developing and implementing a comprehensive and inclusive framework for the continued growth of L&A. Tom has a deep technical background in all areas of electrical engineering, and he counsels businesses of all sizes on the creation and maintenance of strong and sustainable complex patent portfolios. Tom is a member of the Suffolk University Law School Dean’s Cabinet. He also is an Instructor in the Accounting and Business Law Department at Suffolk’s Sawyer Business School.
Bob Skrivanek is serving his third consecutive term on the firm’s Management Committee. In addition to this role, he also is a member of several firm committees, and he is an integral member of the firm’s IT Group. Bob is a successful patent prosecutor and counselor, with in-depth experience in the development and management of significant global patent portfolios in a variety of industries.
“Having Peter, Tom, and Bob continue to serve on the MC together will ensure stability in our firm’s leadership as we look forward to exciting growth and new opportunities in the years to come,” noted co-founding partner, John N. Anastasi.
