Merch Traffic, the exclusive licensee of Paul McCartney’s registered trademarks in his name and signature for tour merchandise, filed suit in advance of his upcoming shows at Fenway Park to prevent the sale of unauthorized merchandise. Such suits allow for the entry of an injunction in advance of the shows that can be enforced against any bootleggers who appear and permit law enforcement agencies to seize and impound infringing merchandise. As is usually the case with bootlegging prevention suits, this matter is before Judge Zobel.
