The Boston Intellectual Property Law Association (BIPLA) Patent Office Practice Committee is holding a Brown Bag Lunch presentation, “Update on USPTO Design Patent Developments.” Partner Nicole Palmer is co-chair of the committee.

Event Description

Come and learn about two new USPTO initiatives related to design patents. First, the recently announced creation of a design patent practitioner bar that will for the first time admit individuals to practice before the USPTO in design cases only. In addition, supplemental guidance issued for the examination of design patent applications that relate to computer-generated electronic images (such as icons and graphical user interfaces).
