“Careers Beyond the Bench”

On Monday, June 12th, Emily R. Forster, Ph.D., a Technology Specialist in L&A’s Life Sciences group, will speak on a panel at the 2023 Boston Bacterial Meeting (BBM). The breakout session, “Careers Beyond the Bench,” will feature a panel of scientists who have successfully transitioned to diverse careers beyond scientific research.
Emily became involved in BBM, which is organized by graduate students and other early career researchers, during her time as a student at Tufts University Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. She was a member of the organizing committee for three years and also served co-chair of the committee for one year.
About The Boston Bacterial Meeting
Founded in 1995, the Boston Bacterial Meeting is an annual conference for all bacteria-related topics held at the Harvard Science Center in Cambridge. Planned and led by a committee of students, postdocs, and other early career researchers, this event brings together bacteriologists from all over the U.S. to present their work and share ideas.
