L&A recognized in the 2019 IAM Patent 1000 for Prosecution, Transactions, and Litigation

  • June 22, 2019

Lando & Anastasi, LLP (L&A) has been named in the 2019 edition of the IAM Patent 1000: The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners. This year, both the firm and select practitioners have been included in this prestigious listing for work in transactions, prosecution and litigation. The publication highlighted L&A’s client-focused service model, noting “Lando & Anastasi builds trust with each client by providing a personal and tailored service directed towards the realisation of commercial value from their intellectual property. Unsurprisingly, then, it gets excellent feedback from the marketplace.”

Craig R. Smith was again selected for inclusion individually in the IAM Patent 1000. Craig, a lead member of the firm’s Litigation group, is described as “…a seasoned litigator with a track record facilitating early wins. He is cool as a cucumber in court – he never gets rattled or tips his hand too early.”

Peter C. Lando also was recognized again this year for his prosecution and transactional work, and is regarded as “an empathetic lawyer with unerring strategic instincts and great judgment [who] takes the lead on patent and technology transactions.” Additional comments from IAM’s research noted, “[Peter] listens to his clients carefully and then engages in deep discussions with inventors that enable him to fully understand the essence of an invention; the thoroughness of the claims he then articulates means that his patents prevail in infringement litigation. Beyond practice, Peter is generous with his personal time and expertise and does much to educate law students on patent matters.”

The IAM Patent 1000 is one of the most extensive guides to leading patent professionals and firms in key jurisdictions around the globe. IAM’s selection process is based on interviews with almost 1,500 attorneys in private practice and in-house counsel.
