Palmer spoke on a panel titled “Strategies for translating research to innovation” on Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Symposium on Water Innovation in Massachusetts (SWIM) at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, MA. Since 2012, the annual SWIM conference convenes thought leadership on the outlook for water innovation, highlighting local innovation to answer global needs.

The panel was moderated by Marcus Gay, Executive Director at NEWIN (now merged with NEWEA). The panel discussed the role of the region’s innovation assets and opportunities to accelerate water innovation in Massachusetts. Panelists include leading water innovation strategists, Dr. Judy Girodan at ecosVC; Joe Bush at the Worcester CleanTech Incubator; Katheryn Elmes at MassCEC Water Investment; and Raj Malhotra at InvenTrust. L&A partner, Nicole Palmer will add her experience and perspective on intellectual property strategies and issues in the water and waste treatment areas.
