Co-Managing Partner, Robert A. Skrivanek, Jr. will be speaking on a panel at the American Intellectual Property Association (AIPLA) and USPTO Technology Centers 3600 and 3700 Customer Partnership Meeting on Wednesday, November 13th, at USPTO headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. ET and offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into mechanical patent practices.
Bob will join USPTO examiners, practitioners, and industry representatives in a day of discussions on enhancing examiner-applicant interactions to promote high-quality patents. Attendees will learn valuable strategies, such as best practices for initiating and conducting effective examiner interviews, and navigating challenges in patent appeals and pre-appeal processes. Additionally, topics will include patent specification drafting, using USPTO search tools, and addressing AI subject matter eligibility in the mechanical arts.
The USPTO offers Patents Customer Partnership Meetings (CPM) to provide a valuable opportunity for external stakeholders to meet directly with USPTO representatives in a collaborative forum. At these meetings, the USPTO shares plans and operational efforts to educate and inform stakeholders and also enable the patent community to share ideas and insights and discuss experiences and mutual concerns.
