Overview

Karen manages the business operations of L&A, with a primary focus on finance. She works closely with the partners and other administrative professionals to achieve the firm’s strategic and tactical goals.

Karen has been with L&A since its founding, and she endeavors to maintain the balanced, efficient and welcoming work environment the firm has enjoyed since its beginnings. She brings several years of law firm administrative experience to L&A, including work at several area law firms, ranging from sole practitioners to firms of 125+ attorneys.

Since March 2020, Karen has produced a series of weekly “Good Morning!” messages for the firm, providing positive perspectives and practical tools for navigating through the unique challenges we have faced since then. Several of these have been simultaneously published on LinkedIn; two articles by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly; and one article by the national chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators.

Karen is a founding Board member and Treasurer of NEWISE (New England Women in Science Executives Club, Inc.). She also served on the Board of Directors of WEST (Women in the Enterprise of Science and Technology) and was involved with WEST in a variety of roles since its founding in the early 2000’s. Karen was formerly a member of Bank of America’s Business Banking CashPro® Advisory Board.
