Andrea B. Reed has been named to the faculty of the MCLE program, What Every Business Lawyer Must Know About Intellectual Property Law Pitfalls & Opportunities.
The program will consist of 6 IP topic modules: Copyright, Trademark, Trade Secret, Patent, IP Licensing, and Ethics in IP. It will conclude with an “Ask the Experts” panel with the entire faculty.
Andrea will teach the Patent module encompassing topics such as statutory framework; requirements for patentability; anatomy of a patent; due diligence, including prior art searching and freedom to operate; patent prosecution; assignments and licenses; patent marking and maintenance; bringing and defending a patent case; non-practicing entities; and post-grant proceedings.
Although designed for practitioners new to these areas, this program also provides enough depth for those with some experience. Please visit the MCLE website for more details.
